Answer: Hydroplaning or aquaplaning. Hydroplaning also known as aquaplaning occurs when a car or any similar vehicle move along the road at a high speed and reaches a part of the road with more water than the weight of the car and the grooves in the tyre lose contact with the road and is only in contact with the water. The result is almost no traction at all for steering or braking.
