The difference between a laboratory thermometer and a clinical thermometer is that a clinical thermometer is used to measure body temperature, however a laboratory thermometer is not used for purpose of measuring body temperature
The clinical thermometer can be titled while reading the temperature values whereas a laboratory thermometer needs to be kept upright.
