Answer is A - Cytosine can pair with guanine only.


It would not be the others because:
Base pairs are A and T/U, C and G.

B) Adenine does not pair with cytosine.
C) Adenine can pair with thymine, however it does not pair with cytosine.
D) Cytosine can pair with guanine, but does not pair with adenine.
