I'm going to use -1,5 and -4,11 and as a confirmation -7, 17. If this is not correct, leave a note at the bottom of my answer.

y2 = 5

y1 = 11

x2 = - 1

x1 = - 2

m = (y2 - y1) / ( x2 - x1)

m = (5 - 11) / (-1 - - 2)

m = -6 / 1

m = - 6

Use -1,5 to find b

y = 5

x = - 1

5 = -6(-1) + b

5 = 6 + b

b = - 1

Equation

y = -6x - 1

Confirmation

x = -7

y = 17

17 = -7*- 6 - 1

Apparently the question is incorrect. The right side is 41, which is nowhere near 17.

If you can correct it in the next hour put a comment somewhere telling me what the third point is and what to do with the 1. Otherwise I'll simply have to report it.
