Hungarians, also known as Magyars, are a country and ethnic group that share a common culture, history, ancestry, and language. The Magyars of Hungary were defeated by an army led by Otto I on August 10, 955. Following their defeat, the Hungarians put an end to their westward expansion after the setback.
