4 1/2=9/2
1 3/13=16/13
4 4/5=24/5
Let that be x
(9/2-x)×16/13=24/5
(9-2x)/2=24/5×16/13
(9-2x)/2=39/10
90-20x=78
20x=12
x=12/20
x=6/10
x=3/5

Answer:
3/5
Explanation:
Let the
blank is x
, solve the equation for x:
(4 1/2 - x) × 1 3/13 = 4 4/5
(9/2 - x) × 16/13 = 24/5
9/2 - x = 24/5 × 13/16
9/2 - x = 39/10
x = 9/2 - 39/10
x = 45/10 - 39/10
x = 6/10
x = 3/5
