A beaker contains an acidified copper sulphate solution.A copper plate and a carbon plate is connected to postive terminal to battery whereas carbon rod is connected to negative terminal of battery.What will you observe when an electric current is passed through this setup for a considerable time​

The copper plate connected to positive terminal (anode) will decrease in size and wear away and the copper plate connected to negative terminal (cathode) will increase in size and thicken, the electrolysis will continue until the anode completely disappears
