We have to Find:

  • The value of x

\sf \longmapsto5^( - x )= 6

Let's start.

  • Take Logarithm of both sides

\sf \longmapsto log(5^(-x)) = log(6)

  • Solving Further

\sf \longmapsto - x \: log(5) = log(6)

\sf \longmapsto - x = ( log(6) )/( log(5) )

  • Take the minus from (-x) and put in on log(6)

\sf \longmapsto \: x = ( -log(6) )/( + log(5))

Done
