However, Japan was mostly left out and what they wanted was not a condition met during the treaty signing. Disgruntled, the Japanese turned on the Western Allies, and proceeded to invade Manchuria and the Pacific Islands for natural resources. However, many of these islands were of European and American interests or were even their colonies, which antagonized Japan against the Allies.
