Depression and stress can both be caused by a certain situation that someone can undergo at any moment. But being depressed is usually more long lasting than stress, and depression can also come out of no where, without any outside factors. Also, stress is NOT a mental health condition, whereas depression IS a mental health condition. it’s sort of hard to put this into words but i hope this makes sense
