What are some ways to get a cat to stop meowing?

my moms cat has been meowing all morning and its giving me a headache. i dont know if he is upset, hungry or just wants something but he cant be hungry cause he just ate.

How old is the cat?
Cats like play hunting so if they cat has toys try doing that
Maybe the cat has to use the bathroom put it near its litter box
Maybe the cat is in pain make sure everything is ok on the cat
Maybe the cat wants cuddles and pets try that
