A hamster got trapped inside a pipe for nearly a week. His name was Jamie. Jamie's owner tried to
rescue him. She dropped food into the pipe for him. She could hear him eating, but she knew she
had to get him out soon. She tried dropping a tiny rope into the pipe, but Jamie wouldn't use it. Then
she called an animal rescuer for help. The rescuer made a small ladder out of wire. They lowered the
ladder into the pipe. That night, Jamie climbed out.
