How does the Law of Conservation of Matter apply to you when you eat food? Why do you not continuously gain exactly the amount of mass you consume with each meal?

Because the law states that matter can neither be created nor destroyed but changed in form. And the same goes for energy that the body takes from the food, we give off that energy through heat and movement. Hope this helped!
