What would be a good positive control for this experiment?

Remember that a positive control should show a change during the experiment.
a) Expose a sample to visible light
b) Keep a sample in the dark
c) Add a molecule that acts as reducing agent
d) Open the lid of the cuvette

Answer: A) Expose a sample to visible light.

Explanation: It is because in this manner the sample can be exposed to the full spectrum of light. By doing this the chlorophyll in the positive control is active and so is the DCPIP and in this, it should be reduced by the photosystem.
