In poem, the speaker feels that death is cruel and make people feel discouraged in life, we mourn

when someone dies but after a while we forget and life continues not until we hear another death

which reminds us of the other departed souls. This explanation can be seen on the novel where

the author states that;” And the grief of ten years ago rite, A walk down the garden carrying death

in an egg ,And the sky singing, the trees still waving farewell, When dying was nothing to

know”. This also means that death has no friend it picks what it feels it is right for that time.
