it's considered theft when someone forces you to give them $1,000. why is it generally not considered theft when the government forces you to give them $1,000 in taxes?

its because the government has more control than a normal person. it would be considered theft if it was only the normal person

The government has more power than a normal person. I don't support what the government is doing but they do have power.
