Explain the difference between the first day of spring (vernal equinox) and the first day of summer

Answer: The vernal equinox marks the start of spring, and the autumnal equinox marks the start of fall. A solstice is one of the two times of the year resulting in the most amount of daylight time or the least amount of daylight time in a single day. Solstices mark the start of summer and winter.

Answer:

In the northern hemisphere when its the first day of spring, which is the Vernal Equinox. In the southern hemisphere that makes it fall, therefore fall equinox. The difference is they both are opposite seasons at the same time.
