The perimeter of a rectangle is 18 meters. If the length of the rectangle is 6 meters, what is the width (in meters)?

Answer:

3 meters.

Explanation:

The width would be 3, because if 6 meters is the length so you would add 6 +6 ( you get the other six from the other side) which equals 12. Then you do 18-12 and you get 6. Lastly you do 6/3 since you need two width sides which equals 3. So that is why 3 is the width.
