Looking at the question, we see that the ratio of boys to girls is 5:3, the total is 8. We are trying to find what the ratio of boys to girls is while the total is 150. Now, we can easily divide 150 by 8, finding one part of our answer! 150 ÷ 8 ≈ 18
(3)/(4). now to multiply that by the amount of boys and girls (5:3), 18
(3)/(4) × 5 = 93
(3)/(4) and 18
(3)/(4) × 3 = 56
(1)/(4). After we round we get 94:56.

Answer:

94 boys and 56 girls.

Explanation:

150/8 = 18.75 = x

b=x*5 = 94

g=x*3 = 56

b+g=150
