In evaluating the limits of rational functions, the numerator and the denominator was found out to be both equal to zero, what does it mean?

Answer:

If only numerator found as zero the answer would be zero. If only denominator found as zero the answer is undefined. In your situation both are zero. But, when denominator becomes zero the answer always be undefined. Therefore, your answer is undefined when both numerator and denominator are zeros.
