You would pay 8.99 for the shirt. You would do this because you first multiply 11.99 by 0.75 because 1.00-0.25=0.75, when you do this you end up with 8.9925 and because this is money you round to the nearest hundred, giving you the answer, 8.99.

It is 25% off so it is 75% of the price. 75/100*11.9 = 8.9925

It rounds to about $8.99
