Total Number of Jelly Beans = 3 + 4 + 2 = 9

There are two ways to do this. You could just add the pink and green jellybeans and put that over the total to get the probability of not red.

Sometimes it is better to find the probability of getting red and subtracting it from 1.

P(not red) = 1 - 1/3

P(not red) = 2/3
