Yossi used to have a square garage with 330ft squared of floor space. He recently built an addition to it. The garage is still a square, but now it has 50% more floor space. What was the length of one side of the garage originally? What is the length of one side of the garage now? What was the percent increase in the length of one side?

Answer:

14.832ft; 18.166ft; 22.5% increase

Explanation:

330/150=2.2

2.2 x 100= 220

√(220)=14.832

√(330)=18.166

18.166/14.832=1.225=22.5% increase
