Answer:

Two lines are parallel if they have the same slope

slope = (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1)

Find the slope of each line. If they're equal, then they're parallel.

JL (5-3) / (4-(-2)) = 2/6 = 1/3

MM (2-1) / (5-2) = 1/3

Since they have the same slope their lines will never cross and therefore parallel.
