There were 45 runners to start a race. In the first half of the race, 1/3 of them dropped out. In the second half of the race, 2/3 of the remaining runners dropped out. How many runners finished the race? ​

1/3 of 45 is 15 so 45-15 = 30

then, 2/3 of the remaining dropped out so
2/3 of 30 is 20, 30-20=10

so, the answer is 10
