Thinking about your photosynthesis lab what caused the leaf disks to originally sink and then why did they rise?

Due to the turgidity condition of the leaves when the transpiration doesn’t exceeds absorption the roots draw in water making leaves turgid and when rate of transpiration increases, leaves become flaccid and droop down
