Annemarie Johansen lives in Denmark, in 1943. Her town is occupied by Nazis, a German political party whose goal was to eliminate Jews. Annemarie’s best friend, Ellen, is Jewish. Fearing for their lives, Ellen and her family decide to flee the country. Annemarie's family helps them escape, and Annemarie must learn to be brave to help the people she loves. Is this an example of Man vs Society??
