How does Laertes' cause parallel Hamlet's? (Hamlet- Act 4 Scene 7)

Answer:

Laertes parallels Hamlet because even though they both want to avenge their fathers deaths, Laertes has to go against Hamlet to do so. Laertes is also a character foil for Hamlet in different ways as Laertes acts on rational while Hamlet focuses on the objective and thinks his way through.
