-60

Following PEMDAS, we do parentheses first. This means adding 9 and 6.
9 + 6 = 15
Next, since there’s no exponents, we multiply. We multiply what is outside of the parentheses and what’s inside.
-4(15) = -60
-60 is the answer.

Another method is the distributive property. This is multiplying what’s outside the parentheses with each value inside the parentheses (think double rainbow).
-4 x 9 = -36
-4 x 6 = -24
-36-24 = -60
We still get the same answer, -60.
