What materials move in and out of a cell?

The cell membrane is semi permeable and allows contents of the cell to move in and out such as mineral salts , water . The phospholipid bilayer facilitates this

water, carbon dioxide, and oxogyn. but those are molecules. they cross the cell by diffusion ( diffusion is movement of molecules or particles from higher to lower center of the body.
