If you consider what x-values are covered by all of these:


x \leq -2 combined with
-2 < x \le 3 combined with
x>3

you've covered all the real numbers. Nothing was left out, so the domain is all real numbers.

For the range... Are you graphing this function? Having the graph will make finding the range easier.
