here the diagonal of square is=4cm

if a be the side of the square,by Pythagoras theorem,

d=√a^2+a^2

=√2a^2

=a√2

hence, a√2 = 4√2

therefore a=4

now, area of square=a^2

=(4)^2

=16cm^2

therefore, the area of square is 16cm^2.

hope it's help you!:)

Answer:

5.64 cm squared

Explanation:

Simple, it gave you the hypotenuse of a triangle and wants you to use that to find the sides of a square so...

Asquared + Bsquared= 4cm

and since squares have equal sides all you need is the square root of 4 which is 2 and the square root of 2 which is 1.41

then multiply by four

5.64
