For any relation not to be a function, one domain value should return more than one range.

==> 2-|k+1| = -6

Adding -2 on both sides,

-|k+1| = -8

Multiplying by (-1) on both sides,

|k+1| = 8

k+1 = 8 ; -k-1 = 8

k = 7 ; -k=9 => k=-9

k=7 or k=-9
