"We teach girls that they can have ambition, but not too much ... to be successful, but not too successful, or they'll threaten men," says author and speaker Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Do you think this kind of culture still exists in the U.S.?

Answer:

Personally, I believe this culture still exists in the U.S. For instance, the glass ceiling still exists. Let's say a male and a female work in the same building and both have the same job. The male is more likely to get a promotion and climb the ranks, while the female's recognition will take longer. Also, women aren't paid as much as men, possibly because the U.S. doesn't want females to feel like they have more power over the men of our country. This may not be true in all cases, but women and men still aren't treated equally. Sad, but true.
