The hypotenuse of a right triangle measures 14 cm and one of its legs measures 6 cm.

The answer would be 40.

Explanation: if you use the Pythagorean theorem: a^2+ b^2 = c2, you would plug in 14 for c and 6 for a. Giving you

6^2+b^2=14^2

Simplify this and you would get:

36 + b^2 = 196

Subtract 36 from both sides getting you:

B^2= 160

Take the square root of both sides getting you your final answer of:

B= 40.
