Speed of 1st runner= Distance /Time
1 mile = 1.6 km (approx.)
= 1.6/8 km/mins
=0.2 km/mins

Speed of 2nd runner= Distance/Time
=1/4 km/mins
=0.25 km/mins


Therefore speed of the 2nd runner is faster
