There was no executive branch. Why is this a problem?​

For the most part this is a minor problem. However, if one of the branches were to seize power or be dissolved entirely it could lead to chaos and mass civil unrest.

Civil war can result when governments do not give citizens enough say in how they could be governed. There are many examples throughout history where a country's citizens felt like there was no executive branch so it led to a nationwide revolt such as in Russia during the Revolution of 1905 which contributed to civil unrest and ultimately an embarrassing and financially crippling defeat for Russia that later caused them withdraw from World War I all together as well as Italy at its unification in 1848 with Giuseppe Mazzini leading several revolts before being imprisoned twice by King Victor Emmanuel II.
