x = 3
Explanation:
3x + 4 = 13
Subtract 4 from both sides
3x = 9
Solve for x
x = 9/3
x = 3

Subtract 4 from both sides ( so 4-4 and 13-4) you should now have 3x=9 now 3 divided on both sides you should have an answer of x=3
