Let the number of boys be x
Let the number of girls be y

x＝y＋5
3y＝2x＋12

3y＝2(y＋5)＋12

y＝22

3×22＝2x＋12

x＝27

(x, y)＝(27, 22)

There are 27 boys and 22 girls.
