The length and the width of a rectangle are (2x+5) cm and (2x-7) cm respectively. Given that the area of the rectangle is 14cm^2, find its length and width.

Length=13.07 and Breadth=1.07

Explanation:

Area=l*b

14=(2x+5)(2x-7)

14=4x^2-4x-35

4x^2-4x-49=0

Using quadratic formula, we have x=(1±5sqrt(2))/2 but as length can't be negative, so x=(1+5*sqrt(2))/2

Length=13.07 and Breadth=1.07
