What is an equation of the line that passes through the point (-1, 4) and is perpendicular to the line x-6у = 12?

y=-6x-2

Explanation:

x-6y=12

y=x/6-2

y=mx+c

since theyre perpendicular, 1/6 * m = - 1

m = -6

y=-6x+c

sub x=-1,y=4

4=-6(-1)+c

c = -2

y=-6x-2
