Answer:

x = 7

Explanation:

If the line is parallel to the y axis, there will be no y-intercept. If you graph the point and draw a line, it has an x-intercept at x = 7 and that is in fact the equation that passes through (-7, 8).

A line parallel to the y axis is in form x = k which would be a vertical line.

The line passes through point (-7,8) x is -7

The equation would be x = -7
