Find the value of x:-

To find Y, use Pythagorean theorem:-
`c^(2) =a^(2) +b^(2)`

`(2.1)^(2) =y^(2) +(1.4)^(2)`

`2.1^(2)=4.41`

`1.4^(2) =1.96`

`4.41=y^(2) +1.96`

subtract 1.96 from both sides

`2.45=y^(2)`

`y=1.5652`

Now, to find x:-

`x=y+y`

`= 1.5632+1.5652`

`x=3.1 \: ft`
