• Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s

• Final velocity (v) = 40 m/s

• time (t) = 8s

$\implies \sf a = (\Delta v)/( t) \\$

$\implies \sf a = (v - u)/( t)$

$\implies \sf a = (40 - 0)/( 8)$

$\implies \sf a = (40)/( 8)$

$\implies \bf a = 5 \: {ms}^( - 2)$

$\longrightarrow \sf {v}^(2) - {u}^(2) = 2as \\$

$\longrightarrow \sf {(40)}^(2) - {(0)}^(2) = 2 *5 * s \\$

$\longrightarrow \sf 1600 = 10s$

$\longrightarrow \sf s = (1600)/(10)$

$\longrightarrow \bf s = 160 \: m$
