In the early Middle Ages, civilizations in different regions began to expand. What are
some of the reasons a civilization may seek to expand its power and influence? Do you
think expansion always leads to conflict? Why or why not?

Yes, Because there will always be more than one civilazation looking to expand,and eventually there would be no more land to expand in as it is owned by other civilzations, causing overpopulation over time resulting in conflict.
