A = Length * Width

A = 19 * 9

A = 171 cm^2

triangle area:

A = 1/2(base * height)

the base of the triangle is 19-11, which is 8

the width of the triangle is 9-5 which is 4

A = 1/2(8 * 4)

A = 16 cm^2

shaded region = rectangle - triangle

shaded region = 171-16 = 155cm^2
