Essential body fat is necessary to maintain life and reproductive functions. Therefore, a
lecturer from Faculty of Sport Science and Recreation conducts a research to find the
determinants of a body fat. There are three possible predictor variables in this research which -
are triceps skinfold thickness (X1), thigh circumference (X2) and mid-arm circumference (X3).
The estimation results of all possible models are provided in Appendix 2.
a) Write down the estimated model for this situation.

b) Test whether the whole model is appropriate for the data. Then, using the partial F-
test, test whether thigh circumference and mid-arm circumference contributes
significantly to the prediction of body fat. Use a=0.05.
