Brenda is training for the New York City Triathlon. She is nervous about swimming 1.5 kilometers in the Hudson River. So, she wants to make sure that she can swim that far in a swimming pool. So far, she has swum 20 laps. If each lap is 25 meters, how many more laps does she have to swim?

Answer:

she has 40 more laps to go

Explanation:

1,500 meters are in 1.5 kilometers. So if you use this equation you´ll find the answer to how many miles she will need in total. 1,500/25=60 then subtract 20.
