Why is the Supreme Court the branch that can best protect the rights of unpopular minority groups?

A) They have the support of the military.

B) Only the Supreme Court has to follow the Constitution.

I think it is D. They serve for life. You could see that when they voted to keep Obama care. They just followed the law, not the beliefs of their party.
