A square with a side length of 4

And a rectangle with a length 13 and a width of 9

We now find the areas of the regular figures and add them together to get our answer

For the square.

To find the area of a square simply square the side length

Area = 4^2 = 16

For the rectangle

to find the area of the rectangle simply multiply the Length by the width

Area = 13*9= 117

Finally add the two areas together to get the area of the composite figure

117 + 16 = 133
